Meet our Board of Directors

Our entire Board of Directors for Hearts and Hands of CASA Geauga County is made up of volunteers – community leaders lending their time, talents, and energy to support CASA volunteers and the CASA kids and families they serve in Geauga County. We are proud to have their dedication and commitment to this wonderful cause.

Christopher Berger
MBA, JD    President

Chris joined the CASA program for the Geauga County Juvenile Court as a volunteer member. He was so moved by the impact they make that, within a year, he founded the non-profit Hearts and Hands of CASA to raise and distribute funds in support of CASA children and families in Geauga County.

Chris is a councilman for South Russell Village serving on the Finance and Building Committees. He currently serves as a Trustee and member of the choir and praise team for the United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls. He served as President from 2008 – 2020 of the Whitetail Run Community Association Board (HOA).

Chris is currently teaching business management classes at Lakeland Community College and Lake Erie College at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as consulting for international businesses around the world.

Susan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Financial Advisor with Beacon Financial Partners, and she enjoys helping her clients navigate financial decisions. She earned her M.B.A degree from Boston College and Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from John Carroll University.

Dana Kachurchak

As President of Presentation Dynamics, Inc., Dana worked with Fortune 500 executives and corporate leaders to assist them in effectively presenting their messages. Within corporations, Dana held marketing and financial roles with American Greetings, Progressive Companies and Burroughs Corporation.

As PTO President and Fundraising Chair for Timmons Elementary School, she coordinated and directed programs, events, volunteer resources, and funding that contributed to supporting the school and enriching the children’s educational experience.

As an active board member of several non-profit organizations, she appreciates the amazing work that dedicated volunteers can accomplish and the immeasurable difference they can make. She is excited to be supporting the work of CASA for Kids of Geauga County through Hearts and Hands of CASA Geauga County.

Will Frank

With a previously held Board Position with Applewood Centers for Children, and his extensive Youth Sports coaching background, Will has always been interested in helping children.

With 3 kids of his own now grown, Will and his wife, Devan, are both active CASA’s and are spending more time helping in the community.

As his 30-year tenure as an executive with Xerox Corp. enters the final few chapters, Will wants to use his knowledge, drive and experience to expand the reach of the Board to cover more children, more programs, and provide more money to the various causes.
